SkylineDx is a leading-edge biotechnology company specializing in the development of diagnostic tests for critical conditions such as multiple myeloma and melanoma. Our revolutionary products, Sky92 and Merlin, are transforming the way these diseases are understood, managed, and treated.
The National Strategic Accounts Executive is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving adoption, utilization, and strategic positioning of the Merlin CP-GEP melanoma test across high-impact national and regional accounts. This role focuses on complex, multi-stakeholder oncology environments including academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), large dermatology and surgical oncology groups, and key opinion leader (KOL) institutions.
The position requires deep oncology expertise, strong scientific credibility, and the ability to operate at both the clinical and executive levels. Success in this role depends on translating clinical evidence into actionable utility, navigating guideline-driven decision making, and building long-term strategic partnerships rather than short-term transactional sales. This role offers the opportunity to shape national adoption of a clinically meaningful melanoma test with strong scientific foundations and growing clinical relevance. The National Strategic Accounts Executive will play a critical role in influencing how melanoma patients are risk-stratified and managed across the United States. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Account Leadership
- Own and manage a portfolio of national and strategic oncology accounts, with primary focus on melanoma care pathways (dermatology, surgical oncology, dermatopathology).
- Develop and execute customized account strategies aligned with clinical adoption, operational workflows, reimbursement pathways, and institutional priorities.
- Serve as the primary commercial interface for large, complex accounts requiring cross-functional coordination.
Clinical & Scientific Engagement
- Engage at a peer-to-peer level with dermatologists, surgical oncologists, dermatopathologists, and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
- Communicate clinical utility, evidence generation, and real-world application of the Merlin CP-GEP test.
- Support interpretation and application of prospective trial data, guideline positioning, and evolving standards of care.
Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Development
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with national and regional KOLs in melanoma.
- Support investigator-initiated research, prospective studies, and real-world evidence initiatives in collaboration with medical and clinical affairs.
- Partner with KOLs on advisory boards, educational programs, and scientific initiatives in a compliant manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Operations, and Sales Leadership to ensure aligned execution.
- Provide field-driven insights to inform messaging, evidence strategy, reimbursement planning, and future product development.
- Support onboarding and education of regional sales teams for strategic accounts when appropriate.
Market & Business Intelligence
- Monitor competitive landscape, evolving guidelines, payer dynamics, and clinical trends in melanoma.
- Identify barriers to adoption, competitive threats, and growth opportunities.
- Contribute to national account planning, forecasting, and long-range commercial strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- High scientific and clinical acumen with the ability to communicate complex data clearly and credibly.
- Executive-level presence with the ability to influence senior clinicians and institutional leadership.
- Strategic thinker with strong account planning and execution skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment with evolving priorities.
- National travel expected (approximately 50%–70%), including attendance at major oncology and dermatology conferences.
You have
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA, MPH) preferred but not required.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in oncology, with demonstrated success in complex, science-driven commercial roles.
- Prior experience in molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, or genomic testing strongly preferred.
- Proven track record managing large strategic or national accounts.
- Experience selling into academic medical centers, IDNs, and multidisciplinary oncology practices.
- Strong understanding of clinical evidence, guidelines, and reimbursement dynamics in oncology.
We offer
- a full-time position, a market competitive salary and market competitive benefits package including 401k match.
- opportunities for personal growth.
- the best of two worlds: a career in life sciences at an innovative biotech company with the emphasis on clinical diagnostics in close collaboration with an academic environment.
- the ability to serve society with science-based solutions.
